Adhyaya 23 — The Brahmin and His Wife
तद्धने मम गेहे च ममत्वमनुकल्प्यताम् ।
युवयोऱ्यन्मदीयं तन्मामकं युवयोः स्वकम् ॥
taddhane mama gehe ca mamatvam anukalpyatām / yuvayor yanmadīyaṃ tanmāmakaṃ yuvayoḥ svakam
«فلذلك، فلتُقرَّر على وجهٍ لائقٍ دعوى الملكية لتلك الثروة وبيتي. ما كان لي فاعتبروه لكم؛ وما كان لكم فاعتبروه لكم أنتم (ثابتًا مصونًا).»

A dhārmic settlement is proposed: property is not treated as a weapon of separation but as a vehicle of relationship. The verse models reconciliation by voluntary transfer/recognition rather than coercion.
