विराट: प्रादिशद्‌ यानि तेषामक्लिष्टकर्मणाम्‌ । तान्यामुच्य शरीरेषु दंशितास्ते परंतपा:

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | virāṭaḥ prādiśad yāni teṣām akliṣṭakarmaṇām | tāny āmucya śarīreṣu daṃśitās te paraṃtapāḥ ||

Translation

قال فايشَمبايانا: إن الملك فيرَاطا سلّم بيده ما عيّنه من عُدّة الوقاية لأولئك الأبطال المولودين من پاندو، الذين تُنجَز أعمالهم بلا كَلَف. فأخذوا تلك الدروع، وثبّتها المحاربون الأقوياء—مُحْرِقو الأعداء—على أبدانهم في مواضعها، واستعدّوا بانضباط لما هو مُقبِل.
