Draupadī’s Lament and Indictment of Misfortune
स सम्प्रहाय शयनं राजपुत्र्या प्रबोधित: । उपातिष्ठत मेघा भ: पर्यड्के सोपसंग्रहे,राजकुमारी द्रौपदीके जगानेपर मेघके समान श्याम वर्णवाले कुरुनन्दन भीमसेन तोशक बिछे हुए पलंगपर शयन छोड़कर उठ बैठे और अपनी प्यारी रानीसे बोले--'देवि! किस कार्यसे तुम इतनी उतावली-सी होकर मेरे पास आयी हो? तुम्हारे शरीरकी कान्ति स्वाभाविक नहीं रह गयी है। तुमपर उदासी छायी है। तुम दुबली और पीली दिखायी देती हो। पूरी बात बताओ, जिससे मैं सब कुछ जान सकूँ
sa samprahāya śayanaṃ rājaputryā prabodhitaḥ | upātiṣṭhata meghābhaḥ paryaṅke sopasaṅgrahe ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: وهكذا، لما أيقظته ابنةُ الملك، نهض تاركاً مضجعه. فقام بهيمسينا، سليلُ كورو، داكنَ اللون كغمامة المطر، من سريرٍ مُمهَّدٍ حسنِ الفرش، وخاطب ملكته الحبيبة قائلاً: «يا ديفي، لأي غرضٍ جئتِ إليّ على هذا العَجَل؟ إن بهاء جسدك لم يعد على طبيعته؛ وظلُّ الحزن يعلوك. تبدين نحيلةً شاحبة. فقصّي عليّ الأمر كلَّه مفصّلاً، لأعرفه على وجهه.»
