द्रौपहुवाच यथैवाहं नाभिचरे कदाचित्‌ पतीन्‌ मदाद्‌ वै मनसापि जातु । तेनैव सत्येन वशीकृतं त्वां द्रष्टास्मि पापं परिकृष्ममाणम्‌

Transliteration

drauapady uvāca yathaivāhaṁ nābhicare kadācit patīn madād vai manasāpi jātu | tenaiva satyena vaśīkṛtaṁ tvāṁ draṣṭāsmi pāpaṁ parikṛṣyamāṇam ||

Translation

قالت دروبدي: «إن كان حقًّا أنّني لم أخالف أزواجي قطّ—ولا حتى في خاطري—بدافع الكِبْر، فبقوّة هذه الحقيقة نفسها سأراك، أيها الآثم، واقعًا تحت سلطان غيرك ومجرورًا على وجه الأرض».
