युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya

अहल्याया हवदे स्नात्वा व्रजेत परमां गतिम्‌ । अभिगम्याश्रमं राजन्‌ विन्दते श्रियमात्मन:,तत्पश्चात्‌ ब्रह्मर्षि गौतमके प्रिय वनकी यात्रा करे। वहाँ अहल्याकुण्डमें स्नान करनेसे मनुष्य परमगतिको प्राप्त होता है। राजन! गौतमके आश्रममें जाकर मनुष्य अपने लिये लक्ष्मी प्राप्त कर लेता है

Ahalyāyāḥ hrade snātvā vrajet paramāṃ gatim | abhigamyāśramaṃ rājan vindate śriyam ātmanaḥ ||

قال غُولاسْتْيا: «بالاغتسال في بحيرة أَهَلْيا ينال المرء المقام الأعلى. يا أيها الملك، وبقصد آشرَم غوتَما ينال الإنسان لنفسه اليسرَ والرخاء.»
