शीतलच्छायमागम्य न्यग्रोधं गहने वने । क्षुत्पिपासापरीताज्: पाण्डवा: समुपाविशन्,तत्पश्चात् उस गहन वनमें भूख-प्याससे पीड़ित अंगोंवाले पाण्डव एक शीतल छायावाले बरगदके पास आकर बैठ गये
śītalacchāyam āgamya nyagrodhaṃ gahane vane | kṣutpipāsāparītāḥ pāṇḍavāḥ samupāviśan ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: بلغوا في غابةٍ كثيفةٍ عميقة شجرةَ نْيَغْروده (البانيان) ذات الظلّ البارد، فجلس أبناءُ باندو هناك وقد غلب عليهم الجوعُ والعطش. ويُبرز هذا المشهدُ قسوةَ المنفى: فحتى أهلُ الاستقامة يُمتحنون بحاجات الجسد، ويغدو الصبرُ جزءًا من الدارما.
