yathopajoṣa rājendra dvijāti-pravarasya tha sā | prītim utpādayāmāsa kanyāratnam aninditā ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: «يا خيرَ الملوك، إن كونتي—جوهرةَ الفتيات التي لا عيب فيها—خدمت ذلك البراهمن، أرفعَ ذوي الميلادين، على وفق ما يهوى ويرتضي، فاستمالت رضاه العميق.»
वैशम्पायन उवाच

Vaiśampāyana describes how Kuntī, portrayed as blameless and exemplary, served a distinguished brāhmaṇa in a way that matched his preferences, and thus gained his sincere satisfaction—setting up the narrative consequences of that pleased relationship.
