हेतुमदुपपन्नार्थर्माधुर्यकृत भूषणै: । पुरन्दरस्य कर्ण त्वं बुद्धिमेतामपानुद,कर्ण! अनेक कारण दिखाकर, नाना प्रकारकी युक्तियाँ सामने रखकर तथा माधुर्यगुणसे विभूषित वचन सुनाकर देवराज इन्द्रके इस कुण्डल लेनेके विचारको तुम पलट देना

قال سُوريا: «يا كَرْنَة، بعِلَلٍ راسخة، وبحججٍ متماسكةٍ سديدة، وبكلامٍ مُحلّى بعذوبةٍ مُقنعة، عليك أن تردّ نية بوراندارا (إندرا) عن أخذ قرطَيْكَ.»
