सा समासाद्य सावित्री भर्तारमुपगम्य च । उत्सड्रेडस्य शिर: कृत्वा निषसाद महीतले,यह सुनकर सावित्री शीघ्र अपने पतिके पास आयी और उनका सिर गोदीमें लेकर पृथ्वीपर बैठ गयी
sā samāsādya sāvitrī bhartāram upagamya ca | utsaṅge 'sya śiraḥ kṛtvā niṣasāda mahītale ||
فلما سمعت ساڤيتري ذلك أسرعت إلى زوجها. دنت منه، وجعلت رأسه على حجرها، ثم جلست على الأرض—فعلُ رعايةٍ ثابتة ووفاءٍ زوجيٍّ في مواجهة الفقد الذي يوشك أن يقع.
