सूर्य–कर्णोपदेशः
Sūrya’s Counsel to Karṇa on Kīrti and the Kuṇḍala
द्वितीयसागरनिभं तद् बल॑ बहुलध्वजम् | वेलावनं समासाद्य निवासमकरोत् तदा,असंख्य ध्वजा-पताकाओंसे सुशोभित वह विशाल वाहिनी दूसरे महासागरके समान जान पड़ती थी। सागरके तटवर्ती वनमें पहुँचकर उसने अपना पड़ाव डाला
dvitīya-sāgara-nibhaṃ tad balaṃ bahula-dhvajam | velā-vanaṃ samāsādya nivāsam akarot tadā ||
قال ماركانديَيا: كان ذلك الجيش، لكثرة راياته وتكاثفها، كأنه بحرٌ ثانٍ. فلما بلغ غابةَ الساحل أقام معسكره هناك في الحال.
