Draupadī’s Lament and the Question of Kṣatriya Forbearance
na hi kvacit kṣamā-kālo vidyate ’dya kurūn prati; tejasas cāgate kāle teja utsraṣṭum arhasi
Forbearance is a virtue only when it supports dharma; when wrongdoing has reached its limit and the proper time for correction has come, one should employ righteous strength (tejas) rather than misplaced forgiveness.
Prahlāda urges decisive action against the Kurus, declaring that the moment for patience has passed and that the listener should now manifest power to address the situation.
