दुःशासनाद हं पूर्व सभायां मोचिता यथा । तथैव संकटादस्मान्मामुद्धर्तुमिहाहसि,'भगवन्! पहले कौरव-सभामें दुःशासनके हाथसे जैसे तुमने मुझे बचाया था, उसी प्रकार इस वर्तमान संकटसे भी मेरा उद्धार करो”
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
duḥśāsanād ahaṃ pūrvaṃ sabhāyāṃ mocitā yathā |
tathaiva saṅkaṭād asmān mām uddhartum ihārhasi ||
«يا ربّ! كما أنقذتني من قبل في مجلس الملك من قبضة دُحشاسَنا، كذلك الآن خلّصني—وخلّصنا—من هذا الخطر الحاضر».
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights reliance on righteous protection in moments of moral crisis: remembering a prior deliverance, the speaker appeals for the same saving grace now, implying that dharma ultimately seeks to preserve the vulnerable when human power fails.
A female speaker recalls being saved earlier in the Kaurava court from Duḥśāsana’s assault and now pleads to be rescued again from the current danger, extending the request to include others (“us”) as well.
