रावण–मारीचसंवादः तथा मृगप्रलोभनपूर्वकं सीताहरणोपक्रमः

पितृपैतामहं राज्यं प्राप्स्पस्पमितविक्रम । वर्षात् त्रयोदशादूर्ध्व व्येतु ते मानसो ज्वर:,अमितपराक्रमी युधिष्ठिर! तुम तेरहवें वर्षके बाद अपने बाप-दादोंका राज्य प्राप्त कर लोगे, अतः अब तुम्हारी मानसिक चिन्ता दूर हो जानी चाहिये
pitṛpaitāmahaṃ rājyaṃ prāpsyasi mitavikrama | varṣāt trayodaśād ūrdhvaṃ vyetu te mānaso jvaraḥ ||
قال فياسا: «يا من يملك زمام نفسه وهو مع ذلك شديد البأس! بعد ثلاث عشرة سنة ستستردّ مملكة آبائك وأجدادك الموروثة. فلتنصرف الآن حُمّى قلبك—ذلك الحزن القَلِق—عنـك.»
