इति श्रीमहाभारते वनपर्वणि घोषयात्रापर्वणि गन्धर्वपराभवे पजञ्चचत्वारिंशदधिकद्धिशततमो<5 ध्याय:

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate vanaparvaṇi ghoṣayātrāparvaṇi gandharvaparābhave pañcacatvāriṃśad-adhika-dviśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ

Translation

وهكذا ينتهي، في «شري مهابهاراتا»، ضمن «فانا بارفا»، في القسم المتعلّق برحلة الماشية (Ghoṣa-yātrā)، في خبر هزيمة الغندرفا، الفصلُ الخامسُ والأربعون بعد المئتين. وهذه خاتمةٌ (colophon) تُثبت انقضاء الفصل وتُحدّد موضعه في السياق الملحمي الأوسع، حيث يُكبح الكِبر والعدوان بقوةٍ أسمى، مؤكِّدةً الدرس الأخلاقي: إنّ السلطة بلا ضبطٍ للنفس تستدعي المهانة والتقويم.
