वनप्रस्थानम् (Departure for the Forest) — Āraṇyaka-parva, Adhyāya 24
अनुभावांश्व॒ जानासि ब्राह्मणानां न संशय: । प्रभावांश्वैव वेत्थ त्वं सर्वेषामेव पार्थिव,राजन! आप सभी ब्राह्मणोंके अनुभाव और प्रभावको जानते हैं, इसमें संशय नहीं है
anubhāvāṁś ca jānāsi brāhmaṇānāṁ na saṁśayaḥ | prabhāvāṁś caiva vettha tvaṁ sarveṣām eva pārthiva, rājan ||
قال أرجونا: «إنك، أيها الملك، تعرف يقينًا المقام الحقّ والقيمة الممتحَنة للبراهمة—ولا ريب في ذلك. بل إنك، يا سيد الأرض، تدرك أيضًا تمام الإدراك مدى سلطانهم ونفوذهم على الجميع. فاعمل نحوهم بما يليق من توقيرٍ وضبطٍ للنفس؛ فإن إكرام العلماء المتحكّمين في ذواتهم يُقيم نظام الدارما.»
