Educational Q&A

The verse highlights disciplined adaptation to circumstance: the Pāṇḍavas reduce public attention, adopt a fitting way of life, and live in harmony with the forest setting—an ethical posture of restraint and steadiness during hardship.

After arriving at a lake, the Pāṇḍavas send away the gathered crowd, set up their dwelling, and then roam the surrounding forests, mountains, and riverbanks as part of their life in exile.
