Citrasena and the Kaurava engagement
श्रिया जुष्ट: पृथुयशा: स कुमारवरस्तदा । निषण्णो दृश्यते भूतै: पौर्णमास्यां यथा शशी,मूर्तिमती शोभासे सेवित हो वहाँ बैठे हुए महा-यशस्वी सुन्दरकुमारको उस समय सब प्राणी पूर्णमासीके चन्द्रमाकी भाँति देखते थे
śriyā juṣṭaḥ pṛthuyaśāḥ sa kumāravaras tadā | niṣaṇṇo dṛśyate bhūtaiḥ paurṇamāsyāṃ yathā śaśī ||
قال ماركاندييا: كان ذلك الأمير الفذّ موفورَ السعدِ والبركة، بعيدَ الصيتِ واسعَ الذكر، يُرى آنذاك جالسًا هناك من قِبَل جميع الكائنات، متلألئًا كالبدر في ليلة اكتماله.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse suggests that auspicious prosperity (śrī) and true fame (yaśas) naturally accompany excellence of character; such a person becomes visibly radiant and beneficial to others, like the full moon that all can see and enjoy.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes an outstanding young prince seated in splendor; all beings behold him as they would the full moon on the full-moon night, emphasizing his striking presence and universally perceived brilliance.
