चित्रसेनगन्धर्वैः कौरवसंनिपातः
Citrasena and the Kaurava engagement
शक्तिर्धर्मो बल॑ तेज: कान्तत्वं सत्यमुन्नतिः । ब्रह्माण्यत्वमसम्मोहो भक्तानां परिरक्षणम्,राजन! शक्ति, धर्म, बल, तेज, कान्ति, सत्य, उन्नति, ब्राह्मणभक्ति, असम्मोह (विवेक), भक्तजनोंकी रक्षा, सुनका संहार और समस्त लोकोंका पालन--ये सारे गुण स्कन्दके साथ ही उत्पन्न हुए थे
śaktir dharmo balaṁ tejaḥ kāntatvaṁ satyam unnatiḥ | brāhmaṇyatvam asammoho bhaktānāṁ parirakṣaṇam, rājan! |
قال ماركاندِيا: «أيها الملك: القوّة (شاكتي)، والدارما، والبأس، والبهاء، والجمال المتلألئ، والصدق، والرفعة؛ والتعبّد للبراهمة، والبصيرة التي لا تضلّ، وحماية المخلصين—كلّ هذه الخصال وُلدت مع سكَندا».
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
True divine leadership is marked not by mere power but by a cluster of ethical and spiritual virtues—dharma, truth, discernment, reverence for the learned, and active protection of devotees—present together as an integrated ideal.
Mārkaṇḍeya addresses the king and enumerates the innate qualities that arose with Skanda at his birth, portraying Skanda as naturally endowed with power, righteousness, clarity, and a protective role toward the faithful.
