मार्कण्डेय उवाच सुपर्णी सा तदा भूत्वा निर्जगाम महावनात् | अपश्यत् पर्वतं श्वेतं शरस्तम्बै:ः सुसंवृतम्,मार्कण्डेयजी कहते हैं--राजन! ऐसा कहकर वह तत्काल गरुडीका रूप धारण करके उस महान् वनसे बाहर निकल गयी। आगे जानेपर उसने सरकंडोंके समूहसे आच्छादित श्वेतपर्वतके शिखरको देखा
Mārkaṇḍeya uvāca: suparṇī sā tadā bhūtvā nirjagāma mahāvanāt | apaśyat parvataṁ śvetaṁ śarastambaiḥ susaṁvṛtam ||
قال ماركانديّا: عندئذٍ اتخذت هيئة «سوبرني» (غارودي)، وغادرت في الحال تلك الغابة العظيمة. ثم مضت قُدُمًا فرأت جبلًا أبيضَ قد اكتسى جيدًا بعناقيد من قصب الشَّرا (śara).
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights purposeful action and adaptability: by assuming an appropriate form and leaving the forest, the character advances toward her goal with steadiness. Ethically, it suggests that right resolve (niścaya) and timely means (upāya) can be aligned with dharma when directed toward a legitimate end.
Mārkaṇḍeya narrates that she becomes Suparṇī (Garuḍī), exits the great forest, and then sees a white mountain whose slopes are densely covered with clumps of śara-reeds, marking the next stage of her journey.
