स्कन्दोपाख्यानम् — उत्पातशान्तिः, स्वाहारूपविचारः, कौमारमङ्गलक्रियाः
मनसा कर्मणा वाचा शुश्रूषा नैव हीयते । नचान्या हि तथा बुद्धिर्दश्यते साम्प्रतं तव,तुम मन, वाणी और क्रियाद्वारा कभी हम दोनोंकी सेवा नहीं छोड़ते। इस समय भी तुम्हारा विचार इसके प्रतिकूल नहीं दिखायी देता
manasā karmaṇā vācā śuśrūṣā naiva hīyate | na cānyā hi tathā buddhir dṛśyate sāmprataṃ tava ||
قال ماركاندييا: «إن خدمتك المخلصة لا تنقص—لا في الفكر، ولا في العمل، ولا في القول. وحتى الآن لا يُرى فيك قصدٌ آخر يخالف تلك السجية الوفية.»
