नियच्छन्ति परां बुद्धिं शिष्टाचारान्विता जना: । उपाध्यायमते युक्ता: स्थित्या धर्मार्थदर्शिन:
niyacchanti parāṁ buddhiṁ śiṣṭācārānvitā janāḥ | upādhyāyamate yuktāḥ sthityā dharmārthadarśinaḥ ||
والناس الراسخون في سلوك المهذّبين يكبحون فهمهم الأسمى ويثبتونه. فإذا وافقوا رأي معلميهم ثبتوا على الانضباط في طريقتهم في العيش، وبذلك يميّزون ما هو الدارما حقًّا وما هو النفع حقًّا.
व्याध उवाच
True discernment arises from self-restraint and steady conduct shaped by śiṣṭācāra (the norms of the wise) and guidance from a teacher; such discipline enables one to recognize both dharma (right) and artha (genuine benefit).
The hunter (Vyādha), instructing a seeker in ethical living, emphasizes that moral clarity is not merely theoretical: it is stabilized through disciplined life-practice and deference to sound instruction from a preceptor.
