इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत मार्कण्डेययमास्यापर्वमें पतिव्रतोपाख्यानविषयक दो सौ छठाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārata-vanaparva-ke antargata mārkaṇḍeyasamāsyāparva-me pativratopākhyāna-viṣayaka do sau chaṭhāṁ adhyāya pūrā huā

Translation

وهكذا ينتهي الفصل السادس بعد المئتين من «فانا بارفا» في «شري مهابهاراتا»، ضمن قسم Markandeya-samāsya، المتعلّق بحكاية الزوجة المخلصة لنذرها (pativratā). وتشير هذه الخاتمة (الكولوفون) إلى اكتمال مقطعٍ تعليميّ يرفع ثبات الوفاء الزوجيّ والسلوك الدارميّ إلى مرتبة المثال الأخلاقي.
