धुन्धुमार इति ख्यातो नाम्नाप्रतिरथो5भवत् | उस समय महामना राजा कुवलाश्व धुन्धुको मारनेके कारण “धुन्धुमार” नामसे विख्यात हो गये। उनका सामना करनेवाला वीर कोई नहीं रह गया था
Dhundhumāra iti khyāto nāmnāpratiratho 'bhavat |
قال ماركاندييا: «وبسبب قتله دُهُندُو اشتهر الملكُ العظيم الهمة كوفالاشفا بلقب “دُهُندُوماَرَ”. وقد ثبت أنه محاربٌ لا نظير له، حتى لم يبقَ من يقدر أن يثبت في مواجهته.»
