Dharma-vyādha on Parental Worship
Pitṛ-mātṛ-śuśrūṣā as Paramadaivata
na teḍabhigamanaṃ brahman mogham etad bhaviṣyati | putro mamāyaṃ bhagavan kuvalāś ca iti smṛtaḥ ||
The verse affirms that a sincere approach to a sage or righteous person is not wasted: meaningful encounter and rightful recognition (of persons and relationships) bear fruit, reflecting dharmic hospitality and truthful speech.
Mārkaṇḍeya addresses a Brahmin respectfully, assuring him that his visit will be fruitful, and identifies the person present as his son, known as Kuvalāśa.
