Educational Q&A

The verse teaches that moral order is cyclical: when adharma is removed, dharma naturally flourishes, culminating in the Kṛta (Satya) Yuga where people become committed to truthful and righteous action.

Mārkaṇḍeya is describing a future transition of the ages: after a period of decline, adharma will be destroyed and dharma will grow, and with the arrival of Kṛta Yuga humanity will return to righteous conduct.
