उत्तङ्कोपाख्यानप्रारम्भः — Uttanka’s Tapas, Viṣṇu-stuti, and the Dhundhumāra Prophecy

Opening

संहृष्टा: पाण्डवा राजन्‌ सहिता: शार्ज्र्धन्वना । विप्रर्षभाश्न ते सर्वे ये तत्रासन्‌ समागता:,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--राजन्‌! उन परम बुद्धिमान्‌ मार्कण्डेयजीका वचन सुनकर भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णसहित पाँचों पाण्डव बड़े प्रसन्न हुए। साथ ही जो श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मण वहाँ पधारे थे, उन सबको भी बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई

saṁhṛṣṭāḥ pāṇḍavā rājan sahitāḥ śārṅgadhanvanā | viprarṣabhāś ca te sarve ye tatrāsan samāgatāḥ ||

قال فايشَمبايانا: «أيها الملك، إن أبناء باندو الخمسة، مع حامل قوس شارِنغا شري كريشنا، قد غمرتهم البهجة. وكذلك فرح جميعُ أفاضل البراهمة الذين اجتمعوا هناك فرحًا عظيمًا.»
