वध्यमानास्ततस्ते तु निवातकवचा: पुन: । शरवर्षर्महद्धिर्मा समन्तात् पर्यवारयन्,इस प्रकार मार खाते और मरते रहनेपर भी निवातकवचोंने पुनः भारी बाण-वर्षकि द्वारा मुझे सब ओरसे घेर लिया
vadhyamānās tatas te tu nivātakavacāḥ punaḥ | śaravarṣaṁ mahad dhīrmā samantāt paryavārayan ||
Arjuna said: “Though they were being struck down and kept dying, those Nivātakavacas again surrounded me on every side, hemming me in with a tremendous shower of arrows.”
अजुन उवाच
Even when an opponent suffers losses, hostility and aggression can persist; the verse highlights the need for steadfast courage and disciplined resolve in the face of renewed, overwhelming danger.
Arjuna reports that the Nivātakavacas, despite being struck and dying, regroup and encircle him, attacking from all directions with a massive barrage of arrows.
