अयं च शंखप्रवरो येन जेतासि दानवान् | अनेन विजिता लोका: शक्रेणापि महात्मना,“यह श्रेष्ठ शंख है, जिसे बजानेसे तुम्हें दानवोंपर विजय प्राप्त हो सकती है। महामना इन्द्रने भी इसके द्वारा सम्पूर्ण लोकोंपर विजय पायी है'
ayaṃ ca śaṅkhapravaro yena jetāsi dānavān | anena vijitā lokāḥ śakreṇāpi mahātmanā |
قال أرجونا: «وهذا هو أفضل الأصداف (الشنخ)؛ إذا نفختَ فيه استطعتَ أن تغلب الدانَفَة. وبهذا الصدف نفسه يُقال إن شَكرا (إندرا) عظيمَ النفس قد نال السيادة على العوالم.»
