इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत तीर्थयात्रापर्वमें लोगशती र्थयात्राके प्रसंगमें सुकन्योपाख्यानविषयक एक सौ चौबीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

iti prakāraḥ śrīmahābhārate vanaparvaṇi antargate tīrthayātrāparvaṇi logaśatīrthayātrāprasange sukanyopākhyānavिषayaka ekaśata-caturviṃśatitam adhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ

وهكذا ينتهي الفصل الرابع والعشرون بعد المئة، المتعلّق بحكاية سوكانيا، وقد رُوي في سياق الحجّ إلى المعابر المقدّسة (تيرثا) ضمن قسم «تيرثاياترا» من «فانا بارفا» في «المهابهارتا» الموقّرة. وتُثبت خاتمة الفصل (الكولوفون) تمام هذه الوحدة، وتؤطّر الحادثة بوصفها جزءًا من مسار أوسع للأخلاق والتعبّد، عبر المواضع المقدّسة والروايات المثلية.
