Cyavana’s Tapas, Sukanyā’s Curiosity, and Śaryāti’s Appeasement (च्यवन-सुकन्या-उपाख्यान आरम्भ)
सुकन्यापि पतिं लब्ध्वा तपस्विनमनिन्दिता । नित्यं पर्यचरत् प्रीत्या तपसा नियमेन च,सुकन्या भी तपस्वी च्यवनको पतिरूपमें पाकर प्रतिदिन प्रेमपूर्वकत तप और नियमका पालन करती हुई उनकी परिचर्या करने लगी
Sukanyāpi patiṁ labdhvā tapasvinam aninditā | nityaṁ paryacarat prītyā tapasā niyamena ca ||
وأما سوكانيا، وهي بريئة السيرة، فلما ظفرت بالناسك تشيافانا زوجًا، كانت تخدمه كل يوم بمحبة، ملازمةً للتقشّف والانضباط وكبح النفس.
