Reconciling Contingency and Human Effort

सर्वथानार्यकर्मतत्‌ प्रशंसा स्वयमात्मन:

sarvathānāryakarma tat praśaṃsā svayam ātmanaḥ

يدين بهيماسينا ذلك السلوك بوصفه دنيئاً على الإطلاق، ويضيف أن مدح المرء لنفسه علامةٌ على خِسّة الطبع. وفي الإطار الأخلاقي لـ«أُديُوغا بَرفا»—حيث تُختَبَر الطباع بالرسل والعهود والمفاوضات—يعدّ التفاخر عَرَضاً من أعراض الأدهرما (اللا-دارما) وانتهاكاً لوقار النبلاء وضبطهم.
