Udyoga Parva, Adhyāya 72 — Bhīmasena’s counsel on conciliation and Duryodhana’s disposition

योधाश्व सर्वे कृतनिश्चयास्ते भव्न्तु हस्त्यश्वरथेषु यत्ता: । सांग्रामिकं ते यदुपार्जनीयं सर्व समग्र कुरु तन्नरेन्द्र

yodhāś ca sarve kṛtaniścayās te bhavantu hastyaśvaratheṣu yattāḥ | sāṅgrāmikaṃ te yad upārjanīyaṃ sarvaṃ samagraṃ kuru tan narendra ||

قال يودهيشثيرا: «ليكن جميعُ محاربيك ثابتين على عزمهم، مستعدين تمام الاستعداد على ظهور الفيلة والخيول وفي العربات الحربية. وكلُّ ما ينبغي اقتناؤه للحرب من عُدّةٍ وموارد—فاجمعه كلَّه جمعًا تامًّا، أيها الملك. فلولا أن موتًا بالغَ الفظاعة، مُهلِكًا للناس في هذا العالم، يوشك أن ينزل بهم، لما شوهدت مثلُ هذه الحال. فاحفظ قواتك على أهبة القتال دائمًا، مُحسَنةَ التسليح بما يلزم من سلاحٍ وآلاتٍ ودروعٍ وعرباتٍ وفيلةٍ وخيل.»
