Duryodhana’s Reassurance and Force-Praise to Dhritarashtra

बलं त्रिगुणतो हीनं योध्यं प्राह बृहस्पति: । परेभ्यस्त्रिगुणा चेयं मम राजन्ननीकिनी

Transliteration

balaṁ triguṇato hīnaṁ yodhyaṁ prāha bṛhaspatiḥ | parebhyas triguṇā ceyaṁ mama rājan anīkinī ||

Translation

قال دوريوذانا: «لقد أعلن بْرِهَسْپَتي أنّه ينبغي خوض القتال إذا كانت قوة العدو أقلّ بثلث. ولكن، أيها الملك، إنّ هذا الجيش لي يفوق جيش العدو ثلاثة أضعاف؛ ولذلك فإن ميزتنا تزيد على ثلث جموعي كلها».
