एतौ हि कर्मणा लोकं नन्दयामासतुर्ध्ुवम् । द्विधाभूतौ महाप्राज्ञौ विद्धि ब्रह्मन् परंतपौ | असुराणां विनाशाय देवगन्धर्वपूजिती
etau hi karmaṇā lokaṁ nandayāmāsatur dhruvam | dvidhābhūtau mahāprājñau viddhi brahman paraṁtapau || asurāṇāṁ vināśāya devagandharvapūjitau ||
«فبأعمالهما الصالحة أفرح هذان العالَمين حقًّا. فاعلمْ، أيها البراهمن، أنهما بالغا الحكمة، شديدا الوطأة على أعدائهما. ومع أنهما واحدٌ في الجوهر، فقد اتخذا صورتين لإهلاك الأسورا؛ والآلهة والغندهرفا جميعًا يعبدونهما.»
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Meritorious action (karma aligned with dharma) brings welfare and joy to the world; true greatness combines wisdom with the power to restrain and destroy forces that harm cosmic and social order.
Vaiśampāyana praises two exalted figures, describing them as one essence appearing in two forms, revered by celestial beings, and taking embodiment specifically to eliminate asuric forces that threaten the world.
