तथोग्रसेनस्य सुतं सुदुष्टं वृष्ण्यन्धकानां मध्यगतं सभास्थम् | अपातयदू बलदेवद्वितीयो हत्वा ददौ चोग्रसेनाय राज्यम्
tathograsenasya sutaṃ suduṣṭaṃ vṛṣṇyandhakānāṃ madhyagataṃ sabhāstham | apātayadū baladevadvitīyo hatvā dadau cograsenāya rājyam ||
قال سنجيا: «وهكذا أسقط كريشنا—ومعه بالاراما—كمسا، ابن أوغراسينا شديد الخبث، وهو جالس في المجلس بين الفريشنيين والأندهكيين. فلما قتلاه أعادا المُلك إلى أوغراسينا.»
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights a dharmic model of political action: eliminating a cruel usurper and restoring rightful sovereignty to the legitimate king (Ugrasena), emphasizing protection of society and restraint from personal aggrandizement.
Sañjaya recounts how Kṛṣṇa, with Balarāma, entered the public assembly where Kaṃsa sat among the Vṛṣṇis and Andhakas, killed him, and then handed the rule of Mathurā back to Kaṃsa’s father Ugrasena.
