उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय 33: धृतराष्ट्र-विदुर संवादः (विदुरनीतिः)
सत्येन रक्ष्यते धर्मो विद्या योगेन रक्ष्यते । मृजया रक्ष्यते रूप॑ कुल वृत्तेन रक्ष्यते
satyena rakṣyate dharmo vidyā yogena rakṣyate | mṛjayā rakṣyate rūpaṁ kulaṁ vṛttena rakṣyate ||
قال فيدورا: تُصان الدارما بالصدق، وتُصان المعرفة بالممارسة المنضبطة (اليوغا). ويُحفَظ الجمال بالنظافة وحسن العناية، وتُحفَظ السلالة بحسن السيرة واستقامة العيش. وفي هذه الوصية يجعل فيدورا ثبات الفرد والمجتمع ثمرةً للنزاهة الباطنة والانضباط الدائم، لا لمجرد المنزلة أو السلطان.
