Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
ऑपन--माजल बछ। जि: अष्टस प्तत्याधिकशततमो< ध्याय: अम्बा और परशुरामजीका संवाद
bhīṣma uvāca |
evam uktas tadā rāmo jahi bhīṣmam iti prabho |
uvāca rudatīṁ kanyāṁ codayantīṁ punaḥ punaḥ ||
قال بهيشما: عندئذٍ تكلّم راما (باراشوراما)، وقد خوطب: «يا مولاي، اقتل بهيشما!»، فقال للفتاة التي كانت تبكي وتلحّ عليه مرارًا: «أيتها الحسناء، يا ابنة ملك كاشي! بحسب نذري لا أرفع السلاح إلا إذا دعت الحاجة نصرةً لبرهمنٍ عالمٍ بالڤيدا. ومن دون سبب كهذا لا أحمل السلاح وفق الهوى. فكيف، وأنا أحفظ هذا النذر، أستطيع أن أقضي لك أمرًا آخر؟»
