Udyoga Parva Adhyāya 132 — Vidura’s Counsel on Udyama, Yaśas, and Kṣātra-Dharma
uddhāvaya kula-magnaṁ tvat-kṛte svayam eva hi |
One must accept responsibility for the consequences of one’s actions and actively work to restore what has been harmed—through courage, self-respect, and personal effort rather than dependence on others.
Vāyu addresses a son-like figure, urging him to redeem a lineage that has fallen into distress due to his role in events, and to undertake the rescue himself with steadfast courage and honor.
