माधवी-प्रदानम् (Mādhavī Offered to Gālava) — Udyoga Parva 113
सो<5यं शोकेन महता तप्यमानो द्विजर्षभ: । अशक्तः प्रतिकर्तु तद् भवन्तं शरणं गत:,“अत: ये द्विजश्रेष्ठ गालव महान् शोकसे संतप्त हो गुरुदक्षिणा चुकानेमें असमर्थ हो गये हैं और इसीलिये आपकी शरणमें आये हैं
so ’yaṁ śokena mahatā tapyamāno dvijarṣabhaḥ | aśaktaḥ pratikartuṁ tad bhavantaṁ śaraṇaṁ gataḥ ||
قال نارادا: «إن هذا البراهميَّ الأجلَّ قد أضناه حزنٌ عظيم، وعجز عن أداء ذلك الواجب؛ فلذلك أتى إليك ملتمسًا الملجأ.»
