Yuddha-yajña-vyākhyāna (The Battle as Sacrifice): Ambarīṣa–Indra Saṃvāda

यस्य वेदिरुपस्तीर्णा तस्य लोका यथा मम । जिसके युद्ध-यज्ञकी वेदी नीले चमड़ेकी बनी हुई म्यानके भीतर रखी जानेवाली तलवारों तथा परिघके समान मोटी-मोटी भुजाओंसे बिछ जाती है, उसे वैसे ही लोक प्राप्त होते हैं, जैसे मुझे मिले हैं

yasya vedir upastīrṇā tasya lokā yathā mama |

قال أمباريشا: «من كانت مِذْبَحَتُه في يَجْنِ الحرب مبسوطةً مُهَيَّأةً على الوجه اللائق—بسيوفٍ موضوعةٍ في أغمادٍ من جلدٍ أزرق، وبسواعدَ غليظةٍ كالقضيب الحديديّ (parigha)—فله عوالمُ مثل عوالمي.»
