Cāturāśramya-dharma—Marks of the Four Āśramas (चातुराश्रम्यधर्मः)

यो विकर्मस्थितो विप्रो न स सम्मानमहति । कर्म स्वं नोपयुञ्जानमविश्वास्यं हि तं विदु:,जो ब्राह्मण विपरीत कर्ममें स्थित होता है, वह सम्मान पानेका अधिकारी नहीं है। अपने कर्मका आचरण न करनेवाले ब्राह्मणको विश्वास न करने योग्य माना गया है

yo vikarmasthito vipro na sa sammānam arhati | karma svaṃ nopayuñjānam aviśvāsyaṃ hi taṃ viduḥ ||

قال إندرا: «البراهِم الذي يثبت على الفعل الآثم (ڤيكَرما) لا يستحق التكريم. حقّاً، من لا يمارس واجباته المقرّرة لنفسه يُعَدّ غير جديرٍ بالثقة».
