Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages
विश्वामित्रं च दायादं गाधि: कुशिकनन्दन: । यः प्राप ब्रह्मसमितं विश्वै््रह्मगुणैर्युतम्,कुशिकनन्दन गाधिने विश्वामित्र नामक पुत्र प्राप्त किया, जो सम्पूर्ण ब्राह्मणोचित गुणोंसे सम्पन्न थे और ब्रह्मर्षि पदवीको प्राप्त हुए
viśvāmitraṃ ca dāyādaṃ gādhiḥ kuśikanandanaḥ | yaḥ prāpa brahmasamitaṃ viśvaiḥ brahmaguṇair yutam ||
قال فاسوديفا: «إن غادهي، فخر سلالة كوشيكا، نال وريثًا له ابنًا يُدعى فيشفاميترا؛ مُتحلّيًا بكل الفضائل اللائقة بالبراهمن، وقد أُدخل في زمرة البراهمرشِيّين».
वासुदेव उवाच
Spiritual authority and the highest sage-status are validated by brahmanical virtues and realized attainment. The verse underscores merit—qualities like discipline, truth, and austerity—as the ethical basis for recognition as a Brahmarṣi.
Vāsudeva describes Gādhi of the Kuśika line receiving Viśvāmitra as his heir, emphasizing that Viśvāmitra possessed complete brahmanical qualities and attained admission among the Brahmarṣis.
