युधिष्ठिरस्य नगरप्रवेशः — चार्वाकप्रकरणं

Yudhiṣṭhira’s Entry into the City and the Cārvāka Episode

वायुदेव उवाच ब्राह्म॒णास्तात लोके5स्मिन्नर्चनीया: सदा मम । एते भूमिचरा देवा वाग्विषा: सुप्रसादका:,श्रीकृष्ण बोले--तात! इस संसारमें ब्राह्मण मेरे लिये सदा ही पूजनीय हैं। ये पृथ्वीपर विचरनेवाले देवता हैं। कुपित होने पर इनकी वाणीमें विषका-सा प्रभाव होता है। ये सहज ही प्रसन्न होते और दूसरोंको भी प्रसन्न करते हैं

vāyudeva uvāca | brāhmaṇās tāta loke 'sminn arcanīyāḥ sadā mama | ete bhūmicarā devā vāgviṣāḥ suprasādakāḥ ||

قال فايوديفا: «يا بُنيّ، إنّ البراهمة في هذا العالم جديرون بالتوقير لي على الدوام. إنهم آلهةٌ تسير على الأرض. فإذا غضبوا كانت كلماتهم كالسُّمّ في أثرها؛ غير أنّ طبعهم سريع الرضا، وهم كذلك يجلبون السكينة والرضا للآخرين».
