Sūrya–Nāga Dialogue on the Perfected Gleaner-Ascetic
svarūpiṇī tato buddhir upatasthē hariṁ prabhum | yogena caināṁ niryogaḥ svayaṁ niyuyuje tadā ||
The verse highlights that true spiritual capacity of the intellect (buddhi) is not merely self-generated; when the mind turns toward the Lord, divine grace can empower and ‘yoke’ the intellect with yoga, making it fit for higher realization and righteous discernment.
Upon contemplation, Buddhi appears in a personified, embodied form and attends Hari. Nārāyaṇa, described as independent and unconstrained, then personally endows that Buddhi with yogic power—effectively appointing and empowering her for divine purpose.
