Liberation is supported by moksha-dharma and inner tranquility: one who studies or hears this purifying teaching and retains it with a peaceful, self-controlled mind attains the supreme goal (moksha).
In Bhishma’s instruction within the Shanti Parva, he concludes by praising the spiritual efficacy of the preceding moksha-oriented discourse, stating that sincere hearing/reading and heartfelt retention by a peace-centered person leads to the highest state.
