The Account of Suvarṇaṣṭhīvin
sa tam utsaḍam āropya paripīḍita-mānasaḥ | putra-rudhira-saṃsiktaṃ paryadevayad āturaḥ ||

The verse highlights the ethical and psychological truth that intense personal loss can overpower composure and judgment; it invites reflection on compassion, the consequences of violence, and the need for steadiness in dharma even amid sorrow.
A man, mentally tormented, places someone onto a refuse-heap and then, seeing his son covered in blood, breaks into anguished lamentation—depicting a moment of shock and bereavement.
