The Account of Suvarṇaṣṭhīvin
nārada uvāca evam etan mahābāho yathāyaṃ keśavo 'bravīt | kāryasyāsya tu yac cheṣaṃ tat te vakṣyāmi pṛcchataḥ ||
The verse emphasizes fidelity to authoritative instruction: Nārada affirms that Kṛṣṇa’s statement is true and then commits to completing the explanation, showing that ethical understanding (dharma) is transmitted through reliable testimony and careful, question-led teaching.
Nārada, as the speaker, confirms what Kṛṣṇa (Keśava) previously said on the topic under discussion and tells the listener (addressed as “mighty-armed”) that he will now explain the remaining points in response to the listener’s questions.
