Śānti-parva Adhyāya 30: Nārada–Parvata Samaya-bhaṅga, Śāpa, and the Marriage of Sukumārī
वायुदेव उवाच प्रत्यक्षकर्ता सर्वस्य नारदो भगवानृषि: । एष वक्ष्यति ते पृष्टो यथावृत्तं नरोत्तम
vāyudeva uvāca | pratyakṣakartā sarvasya nārado bhagavān ṛṣiḥ | eṣa vakṣyati te pṛṣṭo yathāvṛttaṁ narottama ||
قال فايوديفا: «إنّ الحكيم المبارك نارادا هو الشاهد المباشر على هذه الوقائع كلّها. يا خيرَ الرجال، إذا سألته أخبرك بما جرى على وجهه، كما وقع حقًّا».
वायुदेव उवाच
Reliable knowledge should be sought from a trustworthy, direct witness; truthful narration (yathāvṛttaṁ) is upheld as a dharmic standard for understanding events and making ethical judgments.
Vāyudeva points the inquirer to Nārada, identifying him as the firsthand witness of the relevant events and stating that Nārada will recount the full account accurately when questioned.
