Śānti-parva Adhyāya 30: Nārada–Parvata Samaya-bhaṅga, Śāpa, and the Marriage of Sukumārī
tatheti kṛtvā rājā tau satkṛtyopacacāra ha
The verse highlights rāja-dharma and general ethical conduct: one should assent rightly and then honor worthy persons through respectful reception and service (satkāra and upacāra), reflecting the dharma of hospitality and reverence.
After agreeing (“So be it”), the king proceeds to honor “those two” and attends to them with proper hospitality, indicating a formal and dutiful reception of guests or respected visitors.
