अध्याय २८६ — पराशर-उपदेशः
Ethical Restraint, Mortality, and Karma
न च मृत्योर्न चाधर्मान्न लोभान्न कुतश्चन । पीतामृतस्येवात्यन्तमिह वामुत्र वा भयम्,जैसे अमृत पीनेवालेको मृत्युसे भय नहीं होता, उसी प्रकार मुझे भी इहलोक या परलोकमें मृत्यु, अधर्म, लोभ तथा दूसरे किसीसे भी भय नहीं है
na ca mṛtyor na cādharmān na lobhān na kutaścana | pītāmṛtasyevātyantam iha vāmutra vā bhayam ||
قال سَمَضَة: «لا أخاف الموت، ولا أخاف اللاأخلاق، ولا أخاف الطمع—ولا أخاف شيئًا على الإطلاق. وكمن شرب رحيق الخلود فصار متجاوزًا تمامًا رهبةَ الموت، كذلك أنا بلا خوف، في هذه الدنيا أو في الآخرة.»
